The vast majority of thieves enter your home through the doors and windows, so this is where you should tighten your security. The rise in recorded instances of unlawful entry into Australian homes has thus led to a rise in the market for the Armoured door over the past decade. Aesthetics and functionality are two main factors we all prefer to have when choosing a front or external door for point of entry. There is no doubt that styling is important but it also has to be in accordance with the environment in which it exists. The style when combined with great functionality as well as a high level of security would provide a great sense of satisfaction that you have made the right choice of door.
The Armoured door “Guard 16” also has a certification rating level of RC3 with a burglar resistance time of 5 minutes. (The contact time defined per class is the length of time during which the tools are in contact with the door and the time a product can withstand the burglary).
With an ARGOS detection alarm installed inside the door, security doors will not only resist, but react to attempted attacks emitting a loud alarm that immediately puts potential intruders to flight, preventing them from entering the house.
Coverdoors uses the Triplex Safety Glass often seen on automotive and aircraft windscreens. It makes toughened glass for automotive and aerospace markets and is now being used for doors, partitions, staircases, floors and so much more.
Triplex safety glass (otherwise known as laminated glass) is a type of safety glass that holds together in the event of shattering or breaking. It is held in place by an interlayer, typically of polyvinyl butyl or ethylene-vinyl acetate, between its two or more layers of glass. ie the fragments are kept together by the film. This interlayer between the glass also comes in various colours, tints, tones and decorative designs to give you a range of style options to suit.
Laminated glass is a durable and versatile glazing material providing a number of benefits:
Glass reduces the amount of solar radiation and UV rays from entering a home or building, providing better protection.
Exceptional energy efficiency qualities, reducing the effects of radiant heat transference, with the ability to reflect heat back inside or away, allowing air conditioning to be used less frequently and reduce carbon emissions.
Excellent barrier for reducing unwanted noise and sound, meaning your home will be quieter because there will be fewer outside sounds getting through, especially when it is installed on your Armoured door which is also insulated with rockwool to give you added noise protection.
Reduction in heat loss during the winter and heat gain during the summer, lowering your energy costs.
Increased security, making it almost impossible to break, so any unauthorized person would struggle to gain entry.
